I’ve worked in the creative industry for over 18 years and during that time I’ve been fortunate enough to have been commissioned to do work for Thwaites Brewery, Car magazine, Golf World magazine, Stella Cidre, Hornby, Spar…to name a few.
I studied for 3 years at Art College, worked for several design companies, took another 3 years out to continue my studies, this time a BA (hons) in Illustration at the University of Central Lancashire and then jumped straight back into working in the design industry.
In 2010 I decided to make the leap and open my own design and illustration company. Years later I’m still hard at it. Sometimes it’s difficult, sometimes it’s tiring and sometimes it causes me sleepless nights, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
I’ve had the opportunity to design and illustrate on some high-profile projects from illustrating for glossy magazines to designing food packaging concepts, and from innovative technology projects to giving clients a defined, exciting web presence.
During this time I’ve been really lucky to work alongside some well respected design agencies, media groups and advertising / marketing agencies, with some of the best designers, video editors and marketing professionals in their field.
On larger projects I like to collaborate and over the years I’ve built up a collective of designers, developers and technology partners I know and trust, who go above and beyond the call of duty, so no matter the scale of the project, you’re in safe hands.
So, how much do I charge? I’ve worked for massive magazine publishing houses and big design agencies with sizeable budgets and I’ve worked for small local businesses with much smaller budgets. What I’m trying to say is, you don’t need a pot of gold, just a budget we can work with.
So get in touch today and we’ll discuss.
Here’s something mildly interesting… I once won the Pan Macmillan Children’s Book Prize for a children’s book I wrote and illustrated about a nervous magician’s rabbit.
